Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Can't believe I have not blogged in a whole year! So one of my goals for 2011 is to blog more. God knows I have a lot to say! Hope everyone is resting up, staying warm and getting ready to have the ride of your lives in 2011.

Dressage show

Just a reminder that if you are interested in going to the Spring Run dressage show on APril 11th we most send the entries out this Friday.  So if you are interested just email me and I will get you an entry.  Also Maydaze opens next week; April 7th so I will be collecting entries this weekend.  Let me know if you are planning on going.  Send me an email.  Stay posted for more fun xcountry schools soon!  

Cross country schooling

I would like to schedule a cross country schooling day for Sunday MAr. 22nd at FCF!  Groups will be Novice/Training- 1:30; BN-3:00, baby starter/starter- 4:30.  Cost is $35 for FCF and $40 to me for coaching.  If you are going to Spring Bay this schooling is mandatory!  Please email me if you are planning on attending.  Thanks.

Clinic with Jennifer Wooten

I have been discussing the possibility with Jennifer Wooten ( Rides the mare of the year The Good Witch) about doing an after school/work clinic on April 28th, 29th & or 30th.  This would be a reasonably priced clinic. ( under $275 for 2 days)  Before I commit to her financially I would like to know who from our barn would be interested.  She is a Pony Clubber and was 7th last year at Rolex.  Her coach is actually my old coach in California.  She had one of the best cross country and dressage rides I saw all day.  She was short listed for the Olympics last year, is riding at Rolex this year and is being considered for our WEG team.  She will offer individual and semi private dressage lessons as well as a two day clinic at Alta Vista one day doing gymnastics and then at FCF doing cross country.  She will teach everyone from D2Pony Clubbers to Intermediate eventers so please email me if you are interested.  ariattieq@bellsouth.net.  I need to know this week who from our barn is interested before I commit to her.  Thanks for your help.

Great Job Opportunity

If you would like to show your parents you would like to help them with your lesson bill this is a great way to do it.  If you get one new person to sign up for summer camp or Oaks and Derby camp you will get one free half hour lesson.  This is limited to two sign ups per student.  SO you could earn two half hour private lessons!  Just have your new friend go to the website www.ariattihorse.com, print a registration form off, fill out form and put YOUR NAME at the bottom and then send in with the deposit.  Once I get the registration form I will send you an email that you have received a free lesson.  That is it.  Good Luck and thanks for your help.

Covered Bridge Cobined Test

I would like to have all Covered Bridge entry forms by Thursday Feb. 26th.  I want to send them off by Feb. 28th.  Please put your entry in the box in the lesson barn.  If you are looking for an entry form they are in the tack room of the lesson horse barn on the bulletin board.  Thanks

Job posting

Needed Feeder for all lesson horses every Saturday and Sunday am.  This job starts Feb. 21st.  Responsibilities include:  Feeding all lessons horses including medicines that are needed by 9:00 am every Sat. & Sun, cleaning all feed buckets (once out of the two days), filling water troughs and scrubing one (once out of the two days). sweeping out feed room and tack room, raking barn isle and picking up manure in lesson horse barn.  Total hours needed is no more than 2 hours over the entire weekend.  Dependability and detail oriented a must.  Must show good time management skills and be able to follow directions perfectly.  Pay is $20 a week; paid weekly.  to apply: send your last quarter grades, an essay telling us why you would be good at this and a recommendation/approval from your parent.  Send all this to: Angela @ ariattieq@bellsouth.net.  You will be contacted via email for interview.
